Our Easter Long Weekend Menu Ideas - Baileys of Glenrowan

Our Easter Long Weekend Menu Ideas

We’ve pulled together the perfect menu to enjoy this long weekend while also supporting the local producers of the beautiful North East Victoria region we call home.

Fish on Friday
Feast on fish this Friday with locally farmed fish from Mountain Fresh Trout & Salmon Farm based in Harrietville, about an hour south-east of our Glenrowan cellar door. Whip up a decadent salmon pasta or keep things simple with fresh baked trout served with lemon, thyme and dill. Whichever seafood dish you choose, pair it with our Organic Fiano. Layered and textured with hints of almond, white peach and a clean crisp finish meshed with a little tannin, it is a beautiful accompaniment to any rich seafood dish.

Saturday Snacks
When you’re feeling peckish on Saturday (or any day this weekend), look no further than some chocolates from Renaissance Chocolates in Beechworth. Their handmade chocolate Easter bunnies don’t just look adorable, they are a delicious Easter treat! The rich creamy sweetness of the milk chocolate pairs wonderfully with our Founders Series Classic Topaque.

Sunday Lunch
Roast lamb is a classic go-to dish for Easter Sunday lunch, even better if it’s from Alpine Dorpers. This small family run farm specialises in tender, flavourful Dorpers. You can find their lamb in Wangaratta Your Everyday Gourmet, or order direct via their website, email or phone. Our Organic Shiraz is the perfect wine to bring out the rich fattiness of the lamb with its black berry flavours and powerful tannins.

If you’re in the area this long weekend, come and join us at our organic winery for a tasting of our award winning wines including our Organic Rosé. You can order all these wines and more at www.casellacellar.com.
