$450 / Case of 6The extreme age is obvious from the colour with its olive rim; the bouquet is voluminous and intensely complex, the palate incredibly luscious and complex, with multi-spice, mandarin zest, tea leaf, and Callard and Bowser butterscotch flavours; the palate is like velvet, the rancio and spirit there but not excessive.
Winemaker Notes
Blended from specially selected parcels of fruit, it is a deep caramel gold in hue and features tantalising aromas of toffee, butterscotch and malt. The full palate shows a delightful complexity, with extended maturation in old oak giving the wine the optimum balance of fruit, depth and length.
